Hobbies: Sewing (She makes her own clothes occationally), designing clothes, playing solitaire and card games and trying to kill her dog.
Likes: Clothing, card games, her sister and mother, strategy.
Dislikes: Her dog, mystery novels (burn, Hardy Boys, burn) English, and asparagus.
Strengths: Chidori is a very good strategist and tactician and enjoys thinking about strategy. She’s supportive of her allies and merciless to her enemies.
Weaknesses: She doesn’t like actually fighting and will shrink back form the action and bark orders, even if the fight is actually just a debate over what to have for dinner.
Personality: Direct in strategy and shy in emotional issues involving her directly, Chidori has an almost double personality – the serious, cold strategist that gives good advice to her friends and the shy, blushing and unsure girl who can’t really face her own thoughts. She often runs to two at the same time, and will be speaking on one and thinking in the other.
Weapons: A small, round mirror.
Transformation Phrase: ‘Ariel Power!’
Name of Attack 1: ‘Eternal Reflection’
Description of Attack 1: She presses her index finger to the center of the mirror and says the name of the spell; the mirror enlarges and duplicates into a wall of mirrors that will reflect almost any attack back at her enemies.
Civilian Description: Chidori has fair, pale skin and teal hair, which she keeps short in the back and long in the front. Her eyes are large and amber and she has a small, slight frame that is surprisingly strong. She’s not flat chested, but she’s close, and she’s kind of sensitive about that. She wears large glasses, due to being near sighted, and likes to wear large, bulky sweaters over above-the-knee skirts.
Senshi Description: Ariel wears a white and teal suit; the bodice is white, her skirt is teal, her gloves are white with teal ends, etc. She has no tiara but instead has a small jewel in her forehead. Her boots are knee length and teal.
History: Chidori and Yumi’s father died in a car accident when they were young, and they don’t remember him that well; their mother was a strong woman and she moved on in time. She made enough money to keep them in their house and their relatives helped with small donations of money when they really needed it. The girls had a pleasant enough childhood and nothing really tragic happened to them until Chidori awoke as Sailor Ariel when she was 14; cornered by thugs, she panicked and ended up transforming. Luckily for her, her transformation scared the thugs away, since she can’t attack non-magical enemies. After debating for months and months she eventually told Yumi the following year.
